Join us for a panel discussion hearing perspectives from a range of Asian-Australian professionals and cultural leaders, where we investigate the reality of today’s Asian-Australian experience.

How were Asian-Australians affected by the pandemic? How can we support and advocate for Asian allyship? How does being an Asian Australian permeate our professional careers? This event aims to participate in the growing conversation of Asian representation in Australia, and the future of Asian-Australian identity in a post-pandemic world.

After the discussion, there will be an opportunity for a Q&A.

This event has been developed as part of the M_Curators, an MPavilion program engaging young makers, doers and programmers. This initiative is made possible by our presenting partner Bloomberg Philanthropies.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
