Alex Kerr

I am a proud Wurundjeri man & i have been working in the construction sector for 7 years now as a site manager for Barpa Constructions. We strive for inclusion and equality for our people within the building industry whist delivery quality projects for our clients. As a majority Indigenous owned business, Barpa is making a positive difference for Australia’s First People. We pride ourselves on respectful Indigenous engagement, dedicated training and employment opportunities for Indigenous people, supporting the Indigenous business sector and paying dividends to our community of Indigenous owners.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
