Education

Full of free educational programming, MPavilion gives schools and students the chance to learn from community leaders. During the 2021 season, students can immerse themselves in hands-on events and experiences related to design and city-making, science and technology, arts and performance, and more issues affecting our society.

MPavilion
2021

Schools can visit MPavilion 2021 designed by MAP Studio (Venice) with our education resource, written as a source of insight for educators to draw upon at an excursion or in the classroom. This resource introduces MPavilion and focuses upon the 2021 edition by Italian architecture firm MAP studio. It is aimed at students in levels/years 3-10 and its content is aligned with Victorian and Australian curriculum descriptors.

MPavilion
2014 – 2019

Each MPavilon has its own dedicated resource and it is recommended that students visit more than one MPavilion to appreciate the contrasts between the designs of different years.

Students and teachers can download free educational resources about our past MPavilions, to use in the classroom or at an excursion at a time that suits them best.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
