Amanda Donohoe

Amanda spent much of her adult life in regional and remote communities, including raising 5 children in Arnhem land, 4000km from her family. This experience nurtured her passion for creating housing that supports the vulnerable in society, people that are frequently without family or friends. Amanda has worked in crisis accommodation, adult education and community development and is now CEO of Servants Community Housing. Her experience includes 3 years as live in house manager, a role that gave her unique insights into the lives of people with mental illness and substance issues, further igniting her passion for making homes.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
