Bingjie Zhang

Bingjie is currently completing her Bachelor of Architectural Design at Monash University. This year (2021), she participated in the studio Flow State, supervised by Andrew Copolov, which involved analyzing Melbourne’s logistics network, designing and testing the logistical city with new architectural intervention in the urban context of Melbourne. Her project, City Archive, proposes an information distribution center consisting of a multi-media archive and a data broadcasting system to challenge the growing extraction of information with over-monitoring technology in the age of big data.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
