Dr Kanvar Nayer

Dr. Kanvar Nayer runs the industrial design program at Monash College (Melbourne). His PhD research resulted in the development of a personalised multimedia system for individuals living with dementia. He is also head of intergenerational design & research at CollabCare where his research is just a few weeks from being commercialised into the Australian market. Dr. Nayer’s design and research interests lie in improving the quality of life of the geriatric population, their families and caregivers. He is also a PhD supervisor of research looking into developing guidelines for designers to better communicate with non-verbal individuals with profound intellectual disabilities.
