Ex Ponto

Ex Ponto (Ivan Masic) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work focuses on the insoluble intimacy between music, light and the moving image. As a musician, composer and producer, Ex Ponto has self released dozens of albums with improvisational collective, Council of Elders, and experimental no-wave band, Wunderlust. 2019 saw the international release of his debut solo LP, Neka Neka via General purpose records; a homage to Bosnian poet Ivo Andić, ex – Yugoslavian experientialists of the 80’s, and the thriving, late – night intellectualism of Belgrade’s Club 20/44. More recently, Ex Ponto has produced new music for Testing Ground’s Knowledge Economy series and a second solo LP, In a Quarry.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
