Holly Childs

Holly Childs is a writer and artist. With Gediminas Žygus, in 2021 she released Gnarled Roots, an album exploring 21st-century mythologies. In 2020 together they released Hydrangea, an album exploring narrative fracture, intimacy and reality bubbles. She is the author of two books: No Limit published by Hologram and Danklands published by Arcadia Missa. She is an alumna of The New Normal at Strelka Institute (Moscow), holds a Masters in Film, Design and Politics from Sandberg Instituut (Amsterdam) and is a former Jacuzzi Associate Artist (Amsterdam), and Gertrude Contemporary studio holder (Melbourne).

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
