Jackson Fisch—Dancer

Born in Melbourne, Jackson began his formal dance training at The Australian Ballet School at the age of ten. Graduating in 2016, he then joined Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures for the World Premier Tour of The Red Shoes. Jackson continued to work with New Adventures performing in Cinderella, where he made his Principal debut as The Angel. He then went on to be a part of the original cast of Romeo and Juliet helping create and perform roles including Romeo. After revisiting The Red Shoes in 2020, Jackson then moved on to join Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year in 2021.

A highlight of Jackson’s experience as a dancer has been the opportunities afforded to him to be able to travel the world. He has performed in major theatres throughout the USA, Asia, and the UK, including Sadler’s Wells in London and in NYC at the New York City Centre on Broadway.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
