Lavanya is an Senior Urban Designer and registered architect at the City of Melbourne. She has over 10 years of professional experience on a range of leading roles in public and private sector projects, from design leadership to council visioning documents and strategies. Lavanya leads the urban design review of major projects within the City of Melbourne. She advocates for high quality, contextually responsive designs that respond to Council policies and strategies including the Central Melbourne Design Guide and the Design Excellence Program. Lavanya also engages in peripheral practices such as university design studio leadership and illustration.
