Louise Villar

Louise Villar an emerging artist, art manager, and multi-hyphenate creative director based in Naarm / Melbourne with a BA degree in Art History and Philosophy. She aims to create programming that makes the fine arts more accessible to those outside of the art world. Currently, Louise is taking part in multiple curating programs, producing upcoming music videos, and working in art galleries. In collaboration with a local filmmaker, Louise is currently developing a creative arts community that aims to connect and support local creatives based in Naarm / Melbourne by giving them a platform to collaborate, exchange ideas and showcase their work.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
