Melo Felo

Duncographic

Early inspirations from hand to hand family mixtapes led to Melo Felo developing his style – influences coming from the strings of Brazil, the keys of Gil-Scott, the rhymes of New York , UK Bass and beyond.

Many years spent behind the counter at local staple Wax Museum Records brought new experiences, exposed to an endless world of music brought new opportunities; supporting Talib Kweli, House Shoes and DJ Maseo of De La Soul to name a few. Selecting tunes to move people, always finding new ways of connecting the dots between music and memory.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
