Spiral Architects Lab

Spiral Architects Lab

Spiral Architects Lab brings together more than 40 years of local and international experience. The majority of their work has been completed in complex, dense residential spaces. This has inspired a deep respect for the outsized impact high-density living has on community resilience: apartment blocks build and radiate their own cultural systems. Future-proof apartments need to consider how to build intergenerational connections, drive social mobility, and zero-carbon futures.

The team at Spiral has spent decades building high return-on-investment properties for developers. They have now built an architectural system that redefines the possibilities of pre-fabrication and high-amenity living.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
