Wade Trevean

Wade Trevean is the director of Eastbywest and The Skatepark School, and has worked with local communities over the past 20 years to deliver over 120 skateparks. What started out as a passion in Wades’ backyard and local shopping centre carpark has resulted in designing all-inclusive spaces across the globe.

Local projects range from the outback of Australia to the suburbs of Melbourne and in between. Globally, Wade works alongside international NGO’s and local community groups volunteering his design and construction skills for skatepark projects in Palestine, Mozambique, Timor-Leste and others, with many more countries to come.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
