A special chamber performance exploring how the traditions of and rituals that bind us in our common humanity can be expressed through music. This moving concert will feature solo and group pieces, and will be performed by Rollin Zhao (violin), Eunise Cheng (viola), Giovanni Vinci (double bass), Edward Wang (oboe) and Oliver Shermacher (clarinet). This talented ensemble of AYO alumni will engage an eclectic and moving repertoire of songs and melodies that have been passed through generations and bring us to a deeper connection to our roots and our spirit.

Join us as we explore the musicality of the cyclical ritual of everyday life.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
