See improvised dance performance, made in real time.

Presented by Lucy Guerin Inc, LIVENESS is an exciting new program for the Melbourne dance community and dance audiences to come together and experience improvisational movement in a relaxed and generous environment.

The program is open to all dancers to participate (LIVENESS: DOING), and anyone can be an observer (LIVENESS: WATCHING).

In LIVENESS: WATCHING, audiences are invited to observe an improvised dance performance as it unfolds in real time, with no prior rehearsals—as a group of dancers respond to the geometric, kaleidoscopic design of the MPavilion structure, shifting light, and each other.

Observers are invited to witness the improvised performance from 6.30pm and are welcome to come and go freely from 6.30–8pm. You do not need to register.
