Join us for the launch of this years student-run Inflection Journal—themed ‘PRESENCE’.

Featuring contributors such as Frida Escobedo, Bruce Pascoe and Vicky Shukuroglou, Feifei Zhou of Feral Atlas, Liam Young, March Studio and Bernard Khoury, the journal’s launch, too, is about presence: the celebratory meeting of bodies, paper, Zoom, minds and/or architecture.

Come party at the diaphanous yet structured MPavilion—an architecture that makes things visible. Grab your copy of Volume 8, and enjoy the complimentary refreshments provided. Have a chat, listen to a live reading of the journal; talk about and literally manifest PRESENCE.

After the party, you can watch the online panel talk between the editors and selected contributors to the journal. For more information on the talk please click here.

Inflection Vol.8 poses the question ‘How is the power of presence shaping architecture and placemaking today?’ Don’t leave this unanswered by staying at home… or offline!

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
